Transport for London (TfL) is once again decorating the Underground with poppy-covered roundels to mark Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day this November, continuing a tradition that began in 2018. The initiative celebrates London’s ongoing tribute to those who have served in the armed forces.
This year’s displays coincide with Remembrance Sunday on November 9 and Armistice Day on November 11. The decorated designs will appear across a range of London Underground and London Overground stations, along with six bus stops throughout the city.
Beyond stations, eight London buses will carry poppy-themed exteriors. Roundels featuring the same symbol will also appear on the front of selected trains operating on the Elizabeth line, the Overground, Trams, and Docklands Light Railway (DLR).
Last week, commuters heard comedian Jo Brand lending her voice to the Underground, encouraging donations to the Royal British Legion at volunteer-run collection points on London Poppy Day (October 30).
Nine London Underground stations are confirmed to feature poppy-covered roundels for 2025. While the locations can vary each year, these striking symbols of remembrance remain a prominent feature of the city’s transport network during November.
